Production Operatives - Evening Shifts

Real people recruitment are working exclusively with an Irish food company based in Dublin 17, who produce the finest puff pastry products. Our client distributes products to their customers in Ireland, UK, Europe, USA and Australia and supply the retail and foodservice channels
What We Need Help With
Our client have an opportunity for self-motivated Production Operatives to join a  Production and Packing teams on Evening and Night Shifts.
Night Shift
  • Working Hours: 11pm – 7am
  • Work Schedule: Sunday – Thursday Nights
  • Contract Type: Temporary, 3 months contract with an option for Permanent at that stage
  • Hourly Rate: €12.12  per hour.
Specific Duties
Work as part of a team in the factory, producing and packing frozen pastry products to customer specification on a paced production line to fulfill production targets on a daily and weekly basis. This will include working on the:
  • Production Lines
    • Running and operating equipment and machines
    • Manual production work (e.g. Manipulating/folding pastry)
    • Production mixes
    • Collection and re-using trimmings where necessary
    • Adhering to the 'clean as you go' policy
  • Packing Areas
    • Working in our wholesale or retail packing areas, packing frozen products into boxes
    • Stacking packed boxes of products on to pallets 
    • Operating metal detectors
General Duties
  • Work in all areas of the factory as assigned by your Supervisor/Line Manager
  • Keep up to date knowledge of all products
  • Ensure you comply with hygiene, Health & Safety & HACCP regulations
  • Ensure quality guidelines are followed for all areas
  • Undertake flexible work ethic to ensure deadlines are met
  • Available and eligible to work full time for one of the specified shifts
  • A good level of English is essential
  • Experience in a Production or similar environment is beneficial but not essential as full on-the-job training will be provided
  • A valid Manual Handling Certificate
  • A valid Counterbalance license is advantageous but not essential

Dress Code: All employees will be required to wear suitable protective equipment in line with gowning and de-gowning processes.
Measurement: All employees will be reviewed on a regular basis around areas of timekeeping, attendance, performance and attitude. These informal reviews will be the basis for the annual performance appraisal which will determine any potential wage increases and will also be a key factor in potential career development
