Manufacturing Production Operative 

Real People Recruitment is partnering with a leading international manufacturer of paint products to hire a Manufacturing Production Operative . This role is based at a state-of-the-art production facility in Rathcoole, aerodrome business park and plays a key role in ensuring efficient manufacturing processes to meet customer and company demands.

Overview

  • Job Title: Manufacturing Production Operative

  • Start Date: June, 2025 or ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing equipment to blend and mix custom paint orders according to production specifications and schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to precise formulas, blending initial batches, making shade adjustments, and completing filling and labeling processes.
  • Implement and monitor Quality Control (QC) procedures at all stages of the manufacturing process to comply with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Identify and resolve production issues such as viscosity, color inconsistencies, and drying defects to maintain high product quality.
  • Analyze production data using computer tools to optimize manufacturing performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain batch size accuracy within +/- 10% of order requirements to minimize waste and optimize resource usage.
  • Follow and enforce strict safety protocols, including hazardous material handling procedures, waste minimization plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct spray-out and draw-down test panels to verify paint quality before final production release.

Challenges & Objectives

  • Prioritize daily production schedules to meet strict order deadlines.
  • Ensure all products meet customer quality expectations and comply with manufacturing standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations within the manufacturing facility.
  • Improve and sustain the Right First Time (RFT) target of 90%.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in paint blending, mixing, or similar production roles.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in color matching and consistency.
  • Comfortable handling and lifting materials as part of the production process.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team-oriented manufacturing setting.
  • Flexible and motivated approach to work, with a strong focus on quality control and production efficiency.
