Job Description: Bar Staff (Bank Holiday Event)

Location: Killarney, Co. Kerry

Term: Temporary (May Bank Holiday Weekend)

Contract Dates: Friday, May 1st – Monday, May 4th

Overview

We are seeking experienced, high-energy Bar Staff to support a busy, high-end hotel in Killarney during the upcoming May Bank Holiday. This is a fast-paced environment requiring individuals who are confident in their ability to provide excellent service under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Beverage Service: Efficiently pulling pints (stout and lager), pouring spirits, and preparing simple mixers.

• Payment Handling: Processing transactions accurately using EPOS till systems and wireless card machines.

• Customer Experience: Providing a warm, professional welcome to hotel guests and visitors in a busy bar setting.

• Maintenance: Keeping the bar area clean, clearing glasses, and ensuring the station is restocked with garnishes and supplies.

• Compliance: Ensuring all hygiene and food safety regulations are followed, including responsible service of alcohol.

Requirements

• Proven Bar Experience: You must be comfortable working a busy "pint-heavy" bar.

• Tech Savvy: Previous experience using modern card machines and till systems.

• Availability: Must be able to travel to Killarney on Friday evening and work through until Monday.

• Professionalism: Punctual, reliable, and well-presented.
