Real People Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist on behalf of our client, a well-established insulation and fire protection company, based in Rosemount Business Park. This is a 6-week temporary position, ideal for a skilled machinist available for immediate start.

The successful candidate will support the production team in manufacturing industrial insulation and fire-protection textile products, working with heavy-duty and technical materials using industrial sewing machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate industrial sewing machines to produce insulation and fire-protection covers

• Sew heavy-duty, multi-layer technical fabrics to specification

• Assemble products from pre-cut materials and technical instructions

• Attach fastenings such as Velcro, straps, zips, and labels

• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and durability

• Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines

• Follow all health & safety procedures, including PPE requirements

Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous experience as an industrial sewing machinist or similar role

• Confident sewing thick or technical materials

• Ability to follow measurements, patterns, and work instructions

• Good attention to detail and manual dexterity

• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full 6-week assignment

Desirable:

• Experience in insulation, fire protection, or industrial textiles

• Familiarity with industrial or walking-foot sewing machines
