Salary: €35,000 - €45,000 per year
Contract : Permanent full time
Job Summary:
As a Food Specification Technologist, This role will be responsible for ensuring each batch of products cooked adhere to the specifications of our customers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed product specifications, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring that our products consistently meet both customer and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Specification Development: Create and maintain detailed product specifications for new and existing products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and customer requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with food safety regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements to ensure that all product specifications meet the necessary guidelines.
- Labeling and Packaging: Develop and approve accurate product labeling and packaging information, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and customer specifications.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, Production, and Procurement teams to gather necessary information and ensure seamless communication and implementation of product specifications.
- Customer Support: Assist in responding to customer inquiries and audits by providing detailed product specification information and ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the specification management process and contribute to the ongoing development of best practices in food specification management.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain a comprehensive database of technical documentation, including ingredient declarations, nutritional information, allergen statements, and quality attributes.
Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the food production industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, industry standards, and labeling requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficient in using specification management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
