Credit Controller

Real People recruitment is seeking to recruit a Credit Control agent to assist within a client in the energy business. This is a permanent opportunity and will entail working in a varied role to provide back-up assistance to a busy, dynamic, and growing department. The role is based in Head Office in Drogheda to service our expanding business and customer base. However, initially, this role will be a remote role, working from home.


Main areas of responsibilities

  • Cash collections on Commercial and Domestic accounts
  • Ensuring the Credit Policy is adhered too
  • Making Outbound calls for Credit Control
  • Achieving Targets & KPI’s for Cash Collections
  • Referral of accounts for debt collection & legal action
  • Liaising with customers and setting up pay-plans for both Domestic & Commercial customers
  • Managing outstanding debtors
  • Customer Service queries & query resolutions
  • Responding to & sending emails
  • General reporting & Administration
  • Investigate, resolve and, where necessary escalate aged debt issues
  • Adhoc duties as required



  • Leaving Certificate is required for this role
  • Post leaving cert qualifications are desirable, but not essential


  • A minimum 2 years’ experience in a credit control role


Role specific (technical) knowledge / skills:

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and experience of ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and management skills
  • Strong customer focus and negotiation skills
