About the Role
Real People Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join a dynamic company specializing in the design and delivery of cutting-edge digital signage solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of a growing business operating in an innovative and fast-paced sector.

Job Description: Financial Controller
Salary: €60,000 - €70,000 (negotiable for the right candidate)
Location: Tallaght/Tymon, Dublin west
Contract : Permanent, full time.

After an initial onboarding period of six months, this role offers the potential to transition to a hybrid working arrangement, with 2-3 days per week from home.

Responsibilities
As the Financial Controller, you will report directly to senior management and oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations. Your main duties will include:

  • Developing and managing the company's financial policies, procedures, and systems to support sustainable growth.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conducting financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Overseeing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and other day-to-day financial operations.
  • Managing and mentoring a small finance team to ensure high performance and adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborating with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving financial efficiency across the organization.

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in financial management. Key qualifications and experience include:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience working with Sage accounting software is essential.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Experience in managing a small finance team is preferred.
  • Prior experience in an SME or technology-driven industry is a bonus but not essential.
