Production operative

Real People recruitment is working with an international company, who produce and distribute paint products to help them hire a Production operative. Based in a facility in Greenogue business park. Rathcoole this role will have the aim of satisfying customers and company goals. 

The production operative will be required to define and coordinate established production specifications and schedules, volume, cost, and wastage targets. This person is also in charge of the implementation of the QC policy at all stages of manufacturing in compliance with the various regulations and quality standards.

Overview

Job Title : Production operative
Location : Greenogue business park. Rathcoole
Salary : €13.00 per hour
Contract : Temporary role, Approx 1 month,  employed by agency
Start date : ASAP

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Blend custom paint orders within specific order guidelines and by specified due date including blending initial batch, making shade adjustments, filling and labelling batches.
  • Implementation of the QC Policy (in consultation with the Facility Manager and Technical Manager)
  • Evaluation of critical deviations and treatment of Major Malfunctions
  • Validation of choice of producing tools, in agreement with the Facility Manager for reliable Manufacturing Processes
  • Improve and Maintain the ratio RFT (Right first Time) target (90%)
  • Problem solver (viscosity, colour, drying ...) about our products and treats issues in time.
  • Uses computer tools to analyse the data.
  • Manage batch size within +/- 10% to order size.
  • Follow Waste Minimization Plan, PSR Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazardous Material Handling
  • Procedures, and all other safety procedures as outlined.
  • Make shade, gloss and viscosity adjustments to meet customer requirements and Facility colour guidelines.
  • Prepare spray-out and draw-down test panels.
 

POSITION CHALLENGES:

Prioritise daily order workload to meet deadlines.
Ensure product meets customers’ quality and service expectations.
Ensure compliance with safety and security regulations at all times.

Experience required

  • Experience in blending or mixing paint
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in colours.
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Have a flexible and motivated approach to work
