Network Support Engineer (Contract)

Location: Blanchardstown, Dublin (On-site)

Duration: 1 Month (Initial contract with high potential for permanency)

Rate: Competitive / Negotiable (DOE)

Start Date: Immediate


The Opportunity

Our client is an established IT contracting company seeking a technical, network-savvy professional to join our team urgently. This role is initially a one-month contract to cover leave, but as our team is in an active phase of expansion, we are looking for a strong performer who is also interested in transitioning into a permanent position.

The Role

Following an onboarding and training period, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting network environments for a diverse range of clients. You will have the backing of our senior technical team, but you should be confident working independently to resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality network support across multiple client sites.

  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.

  • Follow precise technical instructions and workflows to ensure "first-time-fix" results.

  • Communicate effectively with both internal colleagues and external clients to provide status updates and resolutions.

  • Maintain clear documentation of network configurations and support tickets.

Candidate Requirements

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong foundational knowledge of networking protocols and hardware.

  • Cisco Knowledge: Previous experience or CCNA-level certification is highly beneficial.

  • Communication: Fluent English (written and verbal) is essential for following technical specifications and client interaction.

  • Reliability: Ability to hit the ground running and manage a varied workload under minimal supervision.

  • Location: Must be based within a commutable distance of Blanchardstown.
