Real people Recruitment is currently working on behalf of our client, a well-established paint manufacturing company located in Rathcoole, Dublin, to recruit a Customer Service Representative for a permanent contra. This position is fully office-based and will run from Monday to Friday, 08:00 am to 16:30 pm. The role is due to start in early January, and the salary is Depending on experience, pro rata for the contract period.
Position Overview:
As a Customer Service Representative, you will act as a liaison between the commercial team, customers, and the accounting department. You will be responsible for coordinating and streamlining the flow of orders and ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process orders via email or phone.
- Handle customer inquiries over the phone, providing accurate information on products, their applications, and processing orders.
- Check stock levels to ensure product availability for orders.
- Input orders into Navision, including creating new products and updating quantity/price references.
- Manage the administrative details of orders, including delivery and invoice information, delivery schedules, and more.
- Plan daily production and delivery schedules.
- Acknowledge receipt of customer orders and provide regular updates on their status.
- Liaise with warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure reliable delivery deadlines.
- Inform customers of any delays or issues with order fulfillment.
- Manage delivery notes and coordinate with carriers.
- Handle backorders and collaborate with the commercial department as necessary.
- Process credit note requests and manage customer claims.
- Maintain accurate records of customer service paperwork, including orders, production, and development documents.
- Keep customer records up to date, including contact details, order histories, and any specific requests.
- Create and maintain pricing files, discounts, and rebates with approval from the Sales or Operations Manager.
- Send technical documentation, safety data, and catalogs to customers as needed.
- Set up and update customer accounts and conditions as required.
Position Requirements:
Education:
- Required: Secondary school education.
- Preferred: A formal qualification in Customer Service.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Required: Previous experience in customer service. Ideally phone, email and office based.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Fluent English is essential.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
